“Many of the cases before the 395th District Court can be challenging and heartbreaking. Facing these issues in my first term, I was compelled to study potential cycle-breaking solutions with the goal of mitigating the seemingly ever-present systemic problems.”
A devoted family man, Judge Larson met his wife, Wendy, at church, and they are the proud parents of two beautiful children. Wendy is a successful intellectual property attorney and Judge Larson often describes their marriage as one where “iron sharpens iron.” The Larsons attend a local church where Judge Larson serves as a deacon and bible study teacher.
Judge Larson has a long history of leadership roles within Williamson County and the State of Texas. As the judicial representative to Texas’ Statewide Taskforce to Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect, Judge Larson worked hard to expand best practices for the child welfare system. This work entailed working with leaders across the state to improve outcomes for the most vulnerable Texans. Drawing from these experiences, Judge Larson brings a big vision and fresh ideas to Williamson County.
Judge Larson sought counsel from subject matter experts and reached out to community leaders and volunteers to leverage their talents and passion. The response has been extraordinary. Judge Larson’s efforts have led to the creation of the Family Recovery Court. This specialty court is designed to provide life-changing support to break cycles of dysfunction, while simultaneously holding wrongdoers accountable for their decisions. There is much to be proud of – but there is so much more to do! We ask for you to partner with Judge Larson, so he can continue his mission. Please sponsor the campaign today.
Judge Larson is the co-founder of Williamson County’s chapter of the Christian Legal Society.
